For participation in this curated exhibition, I received an artist fee of $ 250. With this artist fee I purchased a domestic inkjet printer, 1 replacement cannister of yellow ink, fine art printmaking paper and 1 packet of yellow cardboard. During the opening of the exhibition, the printer photocopied a small rectangle of yellow cardboard cut from a large piece until the ink in the printer ran out, thus determining the size of the edition. The edition was then distributed during the opening, its value increasing due to its own limit, which in turn was created only by the investment in materials tha tthe artist fee allowed. Ironically, this lack exponentially increased the value of the editioned print, creating a fenzy of enthusiasm at the opening, despite the fact the means of production was completely exposed. The remaining yellow card was framed and exhibited.
